United FC outstanding forward Mario Soto has chosen Arizona Western to further his playing career and education. Soto has followed in the long and unending list of players who continue to use soccer as a vehicle to transport them to the next level.
This season Mario has led his United FC team to incredible heights, including CSL U19 Premier champions, CSL State Champs, back to back far west regional league champs, Surf Cup Premier flight finalist, 2010 Western regional semi finalist, and 2011 Nomads College coaches showcase finalist.
At the high school level Soto led his Capo High school varsity team to its first CIF finalist by being his team’s leading scorer. Soto will lead his United FC team as it prepares to challenge for its first ever Cal South National State title on April 30th.
We are all very proud of Mario and wish him and his family all the best in the fall as he moves to Phoenix, Arizona.
