LMU_logoUnited FC forward Ryan Kisgen, a 2012 high school graduate, made the long trip from his home in Temecula with his family to the campus of Loyola Marymount University, which would be Ryan's final visit. In the past few months he has visited the campus a total of 4 times, however, this visit meant something different.  Ryan and his family had received a soccer scholarship offer from LMU over a month ago and now he needed to make a decision between UC Irvine, Azusa Pacific or LMU.

Ryan immediately fell in love with the LMU coaching staff, campus and current players, and knew months before that this was where he wanted to further his academic and soccer education. "I've always wanted to play College soccer," Ryan said. "I'm getting a chance to fulfill my dream."

Last summer while attending BCSC (The Best College Soccer Camp), an annual soccer camp hosted by United at our clubs home fields, Ryan caught the eye of UC Irvine head coach George Kuntz and LMU assistant coach Josh Tudella. Both schools were determined to land the young forward.

This season saw Ryan making the jump from U17 CSL Silver Elite to U19 CSL Premier. He has worked extremely hard and has made huge sacrifices. He had an amazing year-- (Dallas Cup participant, CSL Premier Champions, Surf Cup Finalist, League Cup Champion, North Vs South California Premier Champions, Far West Regional fall league Champion). His United team is currently ranked #1 in the Nation and this summer Ryan and his team mates hope to bring home a regional title from Boise, Idaho.

We are all extremely proud and excited for the Kisgen family, well done Ryan!
