United FC is proud to announce the following players will be continuing their playing days beyond Uniyed FC at the collegiate level. Congratulations ladies on the great achievement!
ALLYSON BARYS
United FC – 3 Years
College Commitment – Georgia College and State University.
Quote: “Allyson is excited to announce her college commitment to Georgia College and State University. After a devasting torn ACL her sophomore year, Allyson recovered from her injury to return a much stronger player dedicated to accomplishing her goals. Her mental and physical toughness is highlighted by her high school accomplishments of Varsity MVP and captain as well as holding 4.3 GPA at San Juan Hills High School. Ally also finds time to volunteer for the Julie Foudy Foundation mentoring young children about the basic fundamentals of soccer.
ALLYN ABADIE
United FC – 2 Years
Former Clubs – Surf, Temecula United, TVSA Hawks
College Commitment – Nova Southeastern University, Florida Division II
Quote: “Playing soccer in college has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. Getting to this milestone has required a lot of extra work on my part. I've always had to work harder and smarter because of my size. Up until recently, I was always the smallest player on the team. I can't count the number of times I was told by coaches that I couldn't play premier soccer, much less in college. I came to United FC 2 years ago because of Coach Carrie Taylor. She saw potential in me & helped me regain my passion and love of the game. I chose Nova Southeastern University for several reasons: they have a dual admission athletic training/physical therapy program; I fit in well with the soccer team & the coaches are great, plus the team is very competitive in D2; I was able to secure both academic and athletic scholarships; and last but not least, I LOVE FLORIDA!!!”
BLAKLEE MCMILLEN
United FC – 3 Years
College Commitment – South Dakota State University, Division I
Quote: “This past season, along with my teammates, we were United Cup finalists, Utah Avalanche Finalists, Pleasanton Rage College Showcase Semi-Finalists and went undefeated at the Texas Shootout College Showcase. At the High School level I have lettered in both Water polo as a Goalie and Swimming where I was awarded MVP. My passion for soccer with United as a goalkeeper brought me to South Dakota State University where I fell in love with the Athletic Facilities, Coaching Staff, Team members and Campus. Everyone involved with my official visit there was extremely friendly and welcoming and I am very excited to start the next chapter in my development as an athlete and student majoring in Athletic Training.”
JENNY KONISHI
United FC – 2 Years
College Commitment – Cal State Chico, Division II
Quote: I am very excited for the opportunity to continue playing soccer at Chico State. I want to thank United FC and especially Coach Jason and my girls for the last 2 years.
EMILY LAWRENCE
United FC – 8 Years
College Commitment – Embry Riddle Aeronautical University
Quote: "I am really looking forward to playing soccer in college. The eight years I spent playing for United FC here in Southern California has
prepared me for the speed of play and intensity that college soccer requires. This region is known for their high level of play and I am thankful for the opportunity to have been able to develop into a college level prospect as a member of Jason Kirkwood's team."
NICOLE WALTERS
United FC – 4 Years
College Commitment – Santiago Canyon College
Quote: “I have played with United FC for the past four years under coach Jason Kirkwood. This experience has changed my life in many ways; having Jason as my coach made me learn about myself and became even closer to my team. In these past years, I was fortunate to have a great coach to look up to and who taught me everything I now know. I would not change anything in my experience in playing for him and this club. Upon my graduation from high school, I will still be playing soccer for Santiago Canyon College and from there, I plan on attending a four year college. Thank you for everything this club has given me and for the people I met along the way.”
ARRIANNA SISSON
