On October 24th, 2011, United FC hosted a College Education night intending to educate United FC players and parents on the collegiate player recruiting process.
Hosted by the Older Boys Assistant Director of Coaching, Bryan Wallace, a panel of college coaches was on hand including:
- Keith Schackelford AD Irvine Valley College
- Adam Reeves Cal State Fullerton Men's Soccer Assistant Coach
- Chris Gould Concordia Men's and Woman's Head Coach
- Yossi Razz Cal State University Northridge Men's Soccer Assistant Coach
- Scott Juniper UC Irvine Woman's Head Coach
- Tony Vigil Cal State San Bernardino Men's Soccer Assistant Coach
Also joining the Coach panel was Kelley Collins, Mother of United FC Alumnus and current Cal Poly SLO player Dakota Collins.
During the 90 minute session, Bryan Wallace let the panel through a discussion of the ins & outs and dos and don'ts of the college recruiting process from the perspective of both a college coach and a parent. The session concluded with a Q&A session and the awarding of prizes to a lucky few in attendance.
